This photograph has been published numerous times, one time it was on the cover of “Blue” magazine in Italy. Months later they ran a story on my photography featuring several of their favorite images of mine.

 

The back story is that Emily Marilyn and Kumi asked me if I would be up for shooting a “Latex and Fruit Foot Smashing” set. It sounded like fun to me! Of course, I was in. They brought bags of yummy, pretty fruit. They had mangos, red and green grapes, peaches, plums, strawberries, cantaloupe, and of course watermelon.

 

They started by feeding each other various fruits until they were full and then started smashing fruit with their feet and feeding each other fruit with their perfectly manicured feet. Loving feet and fruit this was a very fun shoot for me!

 

When Emily had cut this wedge of watermelon to step on I wanted to get a frame-by-frame capture of it happening. So Emily pressed her feet and toes slowly into the flesh of the melon which ended up creating this special moment. No doubt this sexy accident made this particular frame all the more erotic. By the next frame, it was not as erotic as the watermelon fell apart.

 

While there are a lot of great photos from this shoot, this one, in particular, got the most attention. If you are fond of feet, fruit, and latex I am sure you can relate.

 

Now for the settings… I used my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L series lens set at an aperture of f/11 (because I wanted to capture ALL of the details, I especially wanted her toes and the watermelon to be very sharp), ISO-100, 1/200 sec., the focal length was set to 125mm. I used an off-camera strobe with a large 50″ octabox.
